Data collection from Byzantine assemblages in Messene took us from the basement of the Ephorate of Antiquities to the roof top of the Archaeological Museum and from there to a warehouse at the archaeological site of ancient Messene. The help of the personnel of the Ephorate of Antiquities at Messene has been immense at every step of the process!
